Reflections

The extensive testing, continuous changing mouthpieces and reeds gave me a lot of flexibility in embouchure, use of oral cavity, abdominal breath support and those skills are in my opinion of much more influence than the equipment. Once you have found and shaped your "voice", you use the equipment that suits you best. In the Audio section you'll notice some differences in color, resistance, projection but not in extremes.

Here you find my personal and therefore subjective reflections.  I used a cane reed D'Addario Evolution 4 as a good and nice reference.

For those still shaping their "voice" the comments below can be helpful in selecting synthetic reeds. It was never the intention to make a ranking of the reeds, but just to provide you with info.

All synthetic reeds are perfectly balanced, the weight of the reeds is much higher then a cane reed and maybe this is the reason for less response, the Fiberreed reeds have good response compared to the other synthetic reeds but their vamps are quite different. Forestone also has good response but is brighter .... so every reed has pros and cons.

At the end I still prefer a good balanced cane reed, but the synthetic reeds are good equivalents.
